If you’re here, you may have recently received a formal Autistic identification, or you may have arrived at that understanding through your own journey of self-identification. Both are valid, and either way, you’re in the right place.
The Discovery Programme is designed to help Autistic adults make sense of their identification, understand their experiences through a neuro-affirming lens, and connect with practical resources and community. It’s built on lived experience by Autistic professionals, grounded in the neurodiversity paradigm, and delivered with warmth and compassion.
How the Programme Works
The programme consists of six on-line, on-demand modules, each exploring a key aspect of Autistic experiences. You can work through them at your own pace using the resources on this site.
These are self-paced, on-demand resources you can access any time. They’re drawn from our live Discovery Programme, but they don’t include the facilitated group sessions, cohort structure, or personalised one-to-one support that make up the full live programme. The live programme runs periodically, subject to funding.
Join our mailing list to hear when our live online Discovery Programme workshops become available — small, supportive group sessions with other Autistic adults, where you’ll explore the material together.
The Modules
- Imposter Phenomenon and Intersectionality — Making sense of your identification and the feelings that come with it
- Masking and Burnout — Understanding the cost of masking and paths to recovery from burnout
- Our Sensory Selves — Exploring your sensory world and building your personalised toolkit
- Monotropism and Attention Styles — Working with your natural flow and attention patterns
- Relationships, Empathy and Communication — Understanding how you connect with others
- Internalised Ableism and Self-Advocacy — Stepping into your identity with more confidence
There’s no right or wrong order in accessing these modules; some may feel more relevant to you at the moment than others, though we’ve designed them to build on each other if you’d like a guided journey.
